Sport

The re-design of the newspaper Sport was a task with multiple challenges:  to offer a more modern image that would be accepted by its regular readers, to implement the new design in the editorial system of the company, and to train the in-house design team for its daily use.

We decided to use a condensed san-serif font, with multiple weight variables, to save space on the pages. The newspaper is divided into three large sections (Barça, football and other sports) each one identified with a color. The base grid includes a half column, which is used to generate empty spaces and lighten the visual weight of the pages. To simplify the daily layout workflow we created a large gallery of templates that can be combined with each other to create the pages of each section.
